There’s Something In Your House Right Now That’s Been Bugging You.

A switch that doesn’t make sense. An outlet that’s loose. A light that flickers when it’s windy. We’ve got a licensed electrician 10 minutes away and not a call center.

Your Licensed Electricians Since 1960

Kevin started this company in 1960. His family still runs it. When you call Broadview, you’re talking to someone who’s been taking care of Cleveland homes for over six decades and not a national chain pretending to be local.

Licensed, Dedicated Electrical Team

Older Homes, No Problem

Cleveland has a lot of historic houses. We know them and from knob-and-tube to Federal Pacific panels and everything in between.

All Work To Current Code

All Work To Current Code

Every job completed to current electrical codes and safety standards. We don’t cut corners because your family lives there.

Comfort Club Priority Scheduling

Comfort Club Priority Scheduling

Members get priority scheduling for electrical issues and especially useful when something goes wrong at the worst time.

11-Point System Inspection

11-Point System Inspection

We check the whole picture and not just what broke and so you’re not calling us back for something we could’ve caught.

If You See It Or Smell
It, Call Us.

  • You smell something electrical and that burning, acrid smell everyone recognizes
  • Lights flicker when the wind picks up or when it gets cold
  • An outlet is loose or a fixture feels unstable
  • A switch doesn’t do what it’s supposed to and or nothing at all
  • One circuit in your house has always been weird and no one’s ever figured it out
  • You want to add power to a garage, shed, or addition
  • You’re adding an EV charger and need a panel assessment
  • Breakers tripping more than they should

HONEST TAKE FROM MARK,
BROADVIEW'S OWNER:

“There’s something in your house right now that we could come out and fix. It might not be faulty and it’s just not the way you want it. Electrical is like that. You’re either adding something, or you just don’t like how it’s laid out. That’s the most common thing we’re doing and setting things up in a more logical way.”

Electrical Services For Cleveland Homes

From a loose outlet to a whole-house rewire and we handle it all. Here are some of the most common things we’re called out for.

MOST COMMON

Switch & Outlet Repairs

Loose outlets, switches in the wrong place, fixtures that don’t work right. These small things matter and and they’re quick fixes when you have the right team.

OLDER HOMES

Whole-House Rewiring

If your home has knob-and-tube or outdated wiring from the 1970s, we handle full rewires safely and up to current code. Cleveland has more of these homes than you’d think.

UPGRADES

Panel Upgrades

Adding appliances, an EV charger, or a home addition? We assess your panel and upgrade it to handle today’s electrical demands. Federal Pacific panels should be replaced for safety.

GROWING FAST

EV charger installation

We’ll assess whether your current panel can support a charger, recommend the right setup, and handle the full installation.

NEW BUILDS

Garages, Sheds & Additions

Built a new garage or outbuilding and need to give it power? We run the circuits, install outlets, and make sure everything is done right.

COMMERCIAL

Light commercial

We also handle light commercial electrical work. If you own a small business in the Cleveland area, give us a call.

A Lot Of Cleveland Homes Still Have Wiring From The 1960s And 70s.

That’s 50-year-old wiring. Codes have changed. Materials have changed. And the way we wire things now is significantly safer.

What is knob-and-tube wiring?

Knob-and-tube is an older wiring style where individual wires run exposed through your floor space and unprotected and uninsulated. It was standard in homes built before the 1950s, and we still find it regularly in Cleveland and its surrounding areas. If your home has it, it’s not necessarily dangerous today, but it’s worth having assessed. A whole-house rewire removes the risk and brings your home fully up to current electrical standards.

You'll know the cost before we start.

Electrical can range from a small repair to a full rewire and so pricing varies. What doesn’t vary is our commitment to telling you the number upfront. No hourly surprises.

SMALL REPAIRS

$50 to $500

Outlet and switch fixes, single circuit repairs, light fixture installs, and minor troubleshooting.

MOST COMMON JOBS

$500 to $3,000

Panel upgrades, EV charger installs, garage power additions, and partial rewires for specific areas of the home.

WHOLE-HOUSE

Custom Quote

Full knob-and-tube or outdated wiring replacement, whole-house rewires. We’ll assess and give you a detailed flat-rate quote.

* Pricing figures are general ranges. All jobs quoted flat-rate on-site before any work begins. Financing options available.

5 Stars are not enough for the professional work they've done, for the job well done in a timely manner, for their display of compassion toward my wife and i when we'd drop in to see their progress and ask questions. Angelo and Justin showed great work ethic, fantastic determination to get the job done and still have plenty of room to keep us informed of the game plan. They make a wonderful team- we are grateful for Angelo and Justin to have done our install, and we know Broadview Heating was a great decision to go with. These two young fellas really did WOW my wife and i. Thank you!!!

Frequently Asked Questions

Modern homes typically need at least 150-amp service to handle today’s demands. Smaller homes may be fine with 100-amp, but if you’re adding major appliances, an EV charger, or breakers are tripping frequently, you may need an upgrade. Older panels like Federal Pacific (red handles) should be replaced due to safety recalls.

Everything from outlet installation, switch replacement, light fixture installation, outdoor lighting, panel upgrades, EV charger installation, whole-house rewiring, generator installation, and commercial electrical work. Note: they don’t sell fixtures or EV chargers, but will install what the customer purchases.

Hot outlets or switches, loose outlets where plugs fall out, two-prong outlets needing updating, burning or electrical odors, kitchen/bathroom outlets needing GFCI protection, panels making unusual noises, or any concerns in older homes (especially knob and tube wiring).

Depends on current service and existing appliances. EV chargers typically need a 60-amp circuit. If you have 100-amp service and multiple high-draw appliances (hot tub, welder, generator), you might need an upgrade. They’ll assess your situation and make a recommendation.
